A New Generation-Shippuuden- 2

Part 2 of story.


Darkness shone over all of Konoha as the brand new day was starting to come to a end. Villagers packing their things up and markets being pulled down as all started to head home. From packed shops to empty streets it soon came that all Ninja's were resting at home. All except for one, Gondaime Tsunade. This fairly tall Ninja sat at her desk, writing out paperwork and assigning missions. She read all sorts of letters and requests from differen't trade routes. She was fairly serious and wore a green top with a yellow singlet underneath,  long green pants, a dark green skirt  and light yellow slip-on shoes. Her hair was blonde and tied in a band behind her neck and a small diamond crystal studded in the middle of her forhead. This Lady was no ordinary Ninja, she was the Hokage. (Leader of the village).

GT:"...I hate doing this paperwork..Why be Hokage when you can be doing other things.."

She sighed then raised a mission statement sheet infront of her face and chewed on the end of her pencil grinning, she raised herself and stopped chewing as she read the paper remembering that she was to send out Naruto and the others on a particular mission.

GT:"Shikamaru, Can you please get in here for a few minutes."

She spoke as the door to her office sliently opened, having a tall figure step inside wearing his spikey hair tied up high on the back of his head and had a cigarette in his mouth. His eyes droopy as he moved over and bowed slightly to Tsunade.

Shik:"Yes Tsunade-sama?"

GT:"I want you to bring back Naruto-kun, Kira-chan, Rock Lee and Neji-san to the office."

Shikamaru nodded, rolling his eyes as he turned and started to walk off stuffing his hands in his pockets.

Shik:"..Ehg..What a drag.."

Tsaunde rolled her eyes also as she placed a hand on her forhead cursing herself.

GT:"Please tell me..WHY did I have to hire Shikamaru for this job?.."

Ka:"You know..He is'nt all that bad.."

Tsunade raised her head to see Kakashi standing in the doorway leaning. She smiled towards him as she rose from her desk and walked over towards him, Kakashi leaned up from the doorway and bowed in respect towards Tsunade, before moving up and closing the door.

GT:"How are you this evening Kakashi?"

Ka:"Fine as usual."

GT:"Glad to hear it. I'm sure you have seen Kira-san today I presume?"

Ka:"Mmm, she has definatly grown. If her parents where alive to see her they would be just as proud."

GT:"Indeed."

Tsunade walked back over and took a seat back in her office chair as Kakashi walked over and leaned back on a near by wall, folding his arms and closing his eye.

Ka:" I believe we are no longer alone."

GT:"Come in Uzumaki Naruto."

The door opened and Naruto entered, himself yawning a little as he carried his bag over his sholder full of the things he would be needing for the mission such as food, Kunai's(another word for knives) Shurikens and other weopons.

GT:"Evening Uzumaki, I presume you know why you're here and the others are coming shortly."

N:"Yes Granny Tsunade."

He bowed to show respect but Tsunade twitched as she ignored his bow for calling her 'granny'. She was after all only 50 years old.

GT:"Ehg..."

N:"Will Kakashi-sensei be coming along with us on this mission?"

GT:"No. I'm willing to trust that you will be able to go on the mission without a teacher. But if things get too serious, I will send out some help towards you."

N:"Hai."

He nodded and turned his head seeing Kira enter followed by Lee-san. Jealousy started to fill inside of him as he growled beneath his breath."Grr...Why is she with Lee-san?.."

K:"Okay, were're here."

Lee followed her inside as Kira stood by next to Naruto who was still glaring at Lee.

GT:"Alright, We are only waiting for one more, Neji-kun."

K:"Right."

They waited patiently, and it wasn't very long when as a very tall fugure walked into the office. His eyes shinning like the moon and his eyes where gazed, a colour of grey. His dark brown hair strands dangled by his sholders and the rest of his hair tied back into a black hair band. His clothing was white and his sleaves past his hands. One side of his shirt crossed over the other tied in a button to keep hold. He also wore white long pants to go with it. A black overcoating down past his knees open in the middle at the front so he could move. He carried a white bag over his back as he entered, this young man went by the name of Neji Hyuuga.

Ne:"I hope im not late.."

GT:"Not at all, Just in time as a matter of a fact. Now, lets get down to bussiness. You four as you already know are being sent out to assist Gaara. Your mission is quite obvious. Protect him at all costs, even if means death. I also assure you, the four of you will be sent without a teacher or a higher rank Ninja to help you out. Besides, Hyuuga Neji is of course the highest rank, so you will all show him the respect he has earned".

Tsunade kept cover for Kira, it was not time for them to know of her strength and rank. She was definatly alot stronger than Neji.

GT:"Therefore, you must keep back the Akatsuki from attacking Kazekage Gaara. If it gets out of hand, I will send out Kakashi, Sai and Gai. That is all I have for you."

She rose from her office chair as she slammed her hands on the table and looked apon each with a serious look.

GT:"And for god sakes, keep each other safe! Now..Any questions?"

N:"How many members of the Akatsuki are there?"

GT:"Hm...That I don't know..Ever since the battle between Sakura and Sasori..There has only been 8 members. But im not quite sure if they regained any more members."

K:"No Gondaime...There are exactly 8 members."

All look apon Kira who faced Tsunade, she shifted her head to look at Naruto.

N:"How do you know for sure Kira-chan?.."

She pauses and ignores the question.

N:"...Hm.."

Uzumaki turned his head to look at Tsunade who turned her head to the side, thinking about why she didn't answer.

RL:"Well, shouldn't we head out then?"

Ne:"Hm..Yes, were wasting time. Lets head out now, unless Gondaime has anything else to say."

GT:"Yes..One more thing, if you four happen to see Uchiha Itachi, let me know."

All:"Right!"

All of the four bowed to Tsunade. She sat back down in her office chair as she raised her elbows apon the desk, her hands together resting on her chin. " I dont know about Kazekage-sama...But at this stage..All should be fine on this mission. Also..I do have a feeling..I may have to send Kakashi." This thought ran through Tsunade's mind as she turned her eyes apon Kakashi who watched the four leave her office, Kakashi closed the door behind leaning on the door facing her.

Ka:"..Do you think that was wise to let them go on their own..?"

GT:"..I have faith."





During the sand village...



The nights began to grow very dark, the area coming to a calm state as the wind stop pushing the sand about. Kazekage Gaara would be resting in his palace home that was made out of sand. His crimson hair swaying from the open window side of the wind blowing through, his blue dark eyes gazed as he sat in darkness on a chair. His thoughts run crazy as he shifted his eyes towards the sand made door. A knock came from the door as Gaara spoke with a soft low tone.

G:"Enter..."

A woman entered the sand made room and bowed instantly. She wore a large fan apon her back and her blonde hair was tied in two buns at the top of her head. Her cream colour clothing of a top to her shoulders and a purple chain pattured singlet beneath. the cream overcoat skirt which wore over her light purple pants went to her knees. From her knees down she wore white coating to be protected from the sand and of course sand shoes. She went by the name Temari.

T:"Brother..I have news that A speical Ninja team has been sent to serve us in keeping you safe Kazekage-sama. They wont be here for three days."(Temari and Gaara are brother and sister as well as Kankuro who is also Gaara's older brother.)

G:"..Hm.."

Gaara nodded once and moved his hand over his forehead in a deep thought. Temari saw him move as she knew he wanted her to leave him alone, she turned and left Gaara in thought. Gaara closed his eyes and opened them once again and looked out the window. Standing to his feet  he leaned his arms on the window cil. Watching over the sand village, keeping it safe as he always did.

G:"...Hurry.."



While the team was sent out...


As the team had been sent out of the village from the gates, Neji led forth first followed by Lee with Naruto trailing after. Kira remained at the back and she kept her head low, keeping quiet as they walked. It remained quiet for all as they walked, Naruto turned his head, seeing Kira behind. Naruto slowed down a little and moved next to Kira looking down apon her while walking.

N:"Hm?..Whats on your mind Kira-chan?.."

She stayed quiet as she looked up at Naruto before she moved her head forth to watch where she walked.

K:"Oh, nothing Naruto-kun. I'm just thinking."

N:"Alright..If there is anything you wish to talk about, I'm here to listen."

K:"Thanks Naruto-kun."

She smiled as he smiled. It was becoming more obvious to her every day that Naruto thought of her as more than a friend. They were on a mission and she didn't want think of anything but the Kagekaze safety. He nodded raising his head walking more forward ahead of her, it became very late around 11pm at night.

RL:"Hey Neji-kun?

Ne:"Hm?..What?"

RL:"Why dont we stop and rest it out for the night, we will need the energy for tomorrow."

Neji stopped, so everybody stopped.

K:"I'll check it out before its safe."

N:"Hm? I'll go too."

Ne:"Alright, make sure its completly safe."

They both nodded, moving off together to look around, Kira jumped up into a tree with Naruto following, They both looked around all over to make sure it was safe. So far so good.

K:"Naruto-kun?"

N:"Hm? What is it Kira-chan?"

K:"Is it safe?"

N:"So far yes..Thankfully no rouge nin or lost nin are around."

Kira laughed and nodded, moving over next to him as she looked up at him.

K:"C'mon, Lets head back to the others."

Kira smiled and Naruto nodded. She knew she shouldn't, but reached out and grabbed hold of his hand as she moved off taking Naruto with her. His heart was pounding and he blushed heavily, turning his whole face completly red.

N:"K-Kira-chan..."

She smiled not hearing her name being said from Naruto, she jumped from tree to tree and landed right in the middle of the camp, letting go of his hand instantly.

RL:"Ah, you came back just in time. Was it safe?"

They both nodded as Naruto's face was still completely red.

RL:"Naruto-kun? You okay? You look like your a cooked tomato!"

K:"Once again, you're always thinking of curry aren't you Lee-san?"

RL:"Mmm, sure am! Had it last night too!"

Kira grinned then giggled as she ruffled up Lee's hair.

K:"Being the smart ass again? At least yout not as bad as Sai."

Everyone laughed except for Neji who leaned back againts a tree and folded his arms. Everybody knew he was tired so they let him rest. They all desided they should also get some rest. Kira rose to her feet pulling out a sleeping bag, herself getting in as Naruto layed his near by. Lee was already asleep in his own. Kira started to wisper towards Naruto.

K:"Serves Lee-san right for training so hard everyday eh?"

Naruto chuckled softly and whispered in return.

N:"Or mabey he ate too much Curry."

They both laughed softly as they tucked themselves in, Naruto slowly starting to fall alseep, with Kira holding up her covers to her face. She buried her head in the covers as they both fell into deep silent sleep...............


While the team slept through the night...



Kunai's where thrown everywhere and many where attacked, some hid behind each other and some defended themselves. A tall man with pericings everywhere on his face and throughout his body, stood in view of the others. He wore a black cloak with red clouds, his arms folded and aimed another kunai at a mans head with an apple resting above it, he also wore the same cloak. Others laughed and pointed at him and some remianed silent and mysterious. This man who aimed a Kunai was called Pein, The victem with the apple who was scared to death was called Deidara (Or I like to call him, Sempai. Im sure Krii would love this scene. xD---double EVIL!!---).

P:"Stay still Deidara.."

D:"I hate you..."

P:"I SAID STAY STILL!!"

D:"I AM STAYING STILL YOU TWIT!!"

A man steped up and threw a Kunai and hit the apple for Pein, he wore the same cloak. His face pale with his eyes gazed, having the Sharingan spin through his eyes. He wore completely black with his arms folded as his hair touched his birth markings under his eyes as he wore his leaf headband with a line through the middle apon his forhead. He was called..Uchiha Itachi.

I:"...Shuttup Deidara.."

Deidara rolled his eyes as he rose to his feet having a smaller figure run towards him holding onto Dei's arm. This figure wore the cloak again and he wore a orange mask with swirlls going through. He grabbed hold of his arm, he was the youngest in the group and went by the name of Tobi.

T:" Oh Oh! Sempai Sempai! Did you get hurt!?"

D:"GET OFF ME!!"

Deidara struggled to get Tobi off him as he finnally let go.

T:"Is Tobi a good boy?!"

D:"NO TOBI IS NOT A GOOD BOY!!"

T:"Uhoh..Sempai's in a bad mood!!"

Tobi took off as he ran behind another figure who looked down apon him, His black dark eyes rolling around as his shark face self kicked Tobi out of the way and moved forward next to Pein, his name was Kisame.

Kis:"Master, do you think Gaara will have reinforcements when we attack?"

P:"Im not so sure..But im taking a guess, yes."

I:"Dont be so foolish.."

They both turn into Itachi's direction, who steped up towards Pein with an emotionless face.

I:"Of course Gaara will have reinforcements.. He may have the Kyuubi with him."

P:"You mean that Uzumaki kid?"

I:"Mmm..Correct."

Kis:"Heh..Ill wipe that little brat out with my sword in one hit!"

I:"No..It wont bet hat easy,Iive faced this boy before, he is indeed powerful."

P:"Then we may have to double our strengths...."



Back at the team...


While the team slept, Kira shifted her head from side to side, having stange dreams about something, but she coulden't quite picture it through her sleep. Naruto awoke seeing her move around through her sleeping bag, He rose to his feet slowly and quietly leaned down by her side looking down apon her. He shifted his hand apon her cheek and felt her temperature with his hand, It felt warm. But not too warm to be sick.
He watched her, thinking of what could have been going through her mind. He watched her sleep and his eyes shifted to her own closed eyes, something formed inside.....Tears..She was crying..

N:"Kira-chan..."

Naruto felt like he coulden't do anything to help her, insted he just sat by her till she awoke, having Lee-san awake as look over apon her watching her as he rose to his feet and looked over Naruto's sholder.

RL:"Naruto-kun?..Whats wrong with Kira-chan?"

N:"..I-I dont know...I feel so helpless...I cant do anything to help her.."

RL:"Dont worry, Im sure once she wakes up..She will be fine. I mean it could be just a nightmare after all."

N:"..Mabey...But im still worried."

RL:"Trust me..She will be just fine."

Naruto nodded, standing to his feet as he walked to his sleeping bag sitting down, but not falling back to sleep as he kept a close eye on her.

And just with that Lee was already asleep again, Naruto grinned at Lee seeing he fell alseep so quick.

N:"..Yep, He definatly ate TOO much curry.."

While Naruto concerntrated on Lee, Kira awaoke as she sat up slowly from her sleeping bag, she rubbed her eyes then looked at her hands to see tears.

K:"..I was..Crying?.."

N:"Hm? Oh Kira-san! your awake!"

Naruto rose to his feet and walked over and sat down next to her placing his hand on her sholder.

N:"H..How did you sleep?"

K:"Mm..Just fine Naruto-kun.."

Really she didn't sleep fine at all, she was dreaming of something..It was big, black and white and very terrifiying. Instead she just lied to Naruto about how she slept as she did not want to talk about it.

Ne:"Hm..You lot ready to go?"

N+K:"Hai"

K:"What about Lee-san? He's still asleep."

Ne:"Dont worry, Im sure he will realise we left."

And just at that, the three let Lee to rest. He woke up realising they left as he sprang up and ran about packing his things trying to catch up with them.

RL:"H-Hey!! wait for meee!!"
